A fire devours the house of a displaced person from "Hays" in Al-Khokha

A big fire broke out, on Tuesday, which consumed the house of a displaced citizen from Hays, north of Al-Khokha district, south of Hodeidah.

The director of the media office in Hais district, Hussam Bakri, told NewsYemen that the house of the displaced citizen “Kamal Muhammad Hamid Al-Naqib”, located in Al-Kadah area, north of Al-Khokhah district, was destroyed by flames.

Hussam Bakri explained that the flames consumed all the contents of the thatched house in a large way, and caused great material damage to the house, including furniture and money, without mentioning the reasons for the outbreak of the fire.

Bakri confirmed that the people rushed to put out the fire, to no avail, as the fire had preceded them quickly due to the speed of the winds in the area.

Bakri called on the humanitarian and concerned organizations present in the Directorate of Al-Khawkha and the West Coast to quickly intervene and save the displaced, who became homeless after his house was completely destroyed by fire.

Kamal, approximately thirty-six years old, father of four children, displaced from the district of Hais to Al-Khokha and works in the sale of qat after it was displaced by the war launched by the Houthi militia and their home in Hays was targeted by a Houthi shell that completely destroyed it until they were forced to flee.
