Aden, NewsYemen:

The journalist, Faris Al-Himiari, quoted a source close to the family of the Minister of Youth and Sports in the Houthi government, Hassan Zaid, who was assassinated on Tuesday in Sana'a, that Zaid had received threats of liquidation, the last of which was two weeks ago.

Al-Himiari said, in a series of tweets on his Twitter account, that Hassan Zaid had informed some of his relatives, as well as the Houthi security authorities in Sanaa, that he had received death threats.

"We will wait for days to see the level of the Sana'a authority's response, otherwise the content of the threats and those behind them will be revealed," the source said.

He added that the Houthi security services informed the Zaid family that they were tracking two people on a motorbike and “sent us pictures of them.” He added, “We affirm our commitment to hold the Sana'a authority responsible, and we demand that public opinion be revealed about the crime and those behind it.”

He pointed out that the Sanaa authority gave Hassan Zaid one car (unarmored), and assigned the task of guarding him to only three escorts, one of whom had been married for several days, and the second was ill, so he had recently had to go to work with his daughter and sometimes with a taxi in order to camouflage.

"The Sanaa authority bears responsibility for the assassination of Hassan Zaid, as the assassination incident coincided with security measures in the capital, in which more than five thousand security and intelligence personnel participated in the celebration of the Prophet's birthday." According to the reporter, Faris Al-Himiari.
