Emirates Crescent provides Al-Alili camp for displaced people in Al Khokha with 25 tons of food aid

The Emirates Red Crescent Authority sent a humanitarian aid convoy to Al-Alili camp in Al-Khawkha district of Al-Hodeidah governorate on the west coast.

The aid includes 25 tons of food, as part of the second phase distribution plan for the year 2020, which will benefit 1,200 displaced families.

Abdulrahman Al-Yousifi, representative of the Red Crescent, said that distributing food baskets and aid to all displaced families in Al-Alili camp, and providing humanitarian aid to them to alleviate their suffering due to the difficult living conditions in which they live.

He added that the Crescent will continue its humanitarian journey and do what it can to alleviate the suffering of the displaced, including those in need, and work to normalize life and establish the rules for a decent life.

For four years, the Red Crescent has been distributing food baskets periodically, every 21 days, to the internally displaced in the camps for the displaced on the West Coast.

Since the beginning of this year, the Emirati Crescent has distributed more than 40,000 food baskets, equivalent to 2,900 tons of foodstuffs, as well as 109 tons of dates, benefiting 231,000 people.
