Mocha, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Al-Faisal Company, one of the commercial companies operating in the field of selling energy, continues to extend electricity lines to the neighborhoods of Mocha, to compensate for the lack of public electricity.

Many residents oppose commercial electricity companies, fearing the effect that the steam station will not work again.

However, a citizen told NewsYemen that Al-Faisal provides temporary solutions for those wishing to obtain an electric current until the station returns to work again.

He added, asking not to be identified by his name, that he is tired of the repeated repairs to his commercial generator, which have doubled over the past months, exceeding its purchasing value.

He pointed out that subscribing to commercial electricity is optional for those who wish to do so and not compulsory, referring to the criticism of commercial companies operating in the field of energy sale.

He called for allowing companies to provide electricity to those who want to subscribe to it, especially shop owners.

Some residents of Mocha oppose the presence of companies selling energy, because of what they said the cost of the high consumption bills compared to the consumption bills for the public stream, in addition to that this may push the local authority not to make the operation of the steam station a priority.

The price of a kilo in electricity companies reaches 220 riyals, compared to the price of a kilo in the general current, which is fixed at seven riyals.
