7,476 Houthi mines were removed last October

 The Saudi Project for Mine Clearance in Yemen (Masam) announced on Sunday, November 1, 2020, that 7,000 mines and explosive devices have been removed from the remnants of the Houthi militia, during the past month of October, from many Yemeni regions.

The director general of Masam project, "Osama Al-Qusaibi," said that from October 3 until October 30, the project teams cleared 7,476 mines, unexploded ammunition and explosive devices, indicating that last week the project teams removed 1,254 mines, unexploded ammunition and an explosive device.

The Masam project operations room stated that last week, Masam's teams cleared 105 anti-tank mines and 9 anti-personnel mines, in addition to removing 1,139 unexploded ordnance.

In addition, the general manager of the project, "Osama Al-Qusaibi," confirmed that last week the teams of the Masam project managed to clear 250.105 square meters of Yemeni land.

Al-Qusaibi pointed out that, from the start of the project until October 30, 195,271 mines and unexploded ordnance were removed from Masam's teams.

The project had carried out two operations to destroy and detonate 19539 mines and unexploded ordnance in Marib Governorate and the West Coast.
