Lahj, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

A recently published official document revealed that the local authorities in Tur Al-Baha District in Lahj had brought in more than twenty soldiers from one of the Brotherhood’s brigades in the Taiz axis to teach in the district’s schools.

The document issued by the commander of the Fourth Infantry Brigade of the Mountain, Brigadier General Abu Bakr al-Jabbouli, to the Personnel Division, to allow 20 members of the brigade to teach in the directorate’s schools, working days only per week.

The document revealed that this comes at the request of the Director of the Education Department in the Directorate, called Al-Sahiri, and in coordination with the Director General of Tur Al-Baha Directorate, Abdulraqeeb Al-Bakiri, who are loyal to the Brotherhood.

Education sources reported that this step that Al-Bukairi and Al-Sahiri took, in coordination with Al-Jabouli, commander of the Fourth Brigade, a mountainous infantry, came after many teachers in the directorate were discharged by Al-Suhairy and with direct instructions from the Director General of Al-Bakiri.

The sources indicated that this step by Al-Bakiri comes within the Brotherhood’s plans and agendas parallel to their military plans to control the directorate, especially since these elements that were very carefully agreed upon to teach had received their military training in the Popular Mobilization camps in Taiz at the hands of Brotherhood elements known for their militancy and extremism in Taiz.

After the issuance of this decision by Al-Bakiri, a state of fear prevailed among the people of the Directorate over the future of their children from those elements that would study them.

The sources indicated that what the director of the directorate and the director general of the education office in the directorate did, came without reference to the education office in the governorate in a move that was considered by the people of the region as an indication that Tur Al-Baha is now being run by Al-Jabouli and Al-Bakiri, in implementation of orders from Salem, the Supreme Leader of the Brotherhood in Taiz.

This is not the first time that al-Jubouli has issued directives related to education, as al-Jubouli had previously instructed in late 2018 to request that teachers be released to fight within his forces.

A document published at the time, a directive from the Commander of the Fourth Brigade, Mashah Abu Bakr al-Jabouli, revealed a letter to the Director General of the Moqatara Directorate of Lahj governorate requesting the assignment of 11 teachers from the directorate’s teachers.

Informed sources indicated that this step reflects the transfer of the Brotherhood’s experience in Taiz with militarizing education and harnessing it in the service of the group’s military and political goals.

Dozens of public schools in Taiz are still occupied by the Muslim Brotherhood militia funded by Qatar and led by the Brotherhood leader residing in Turkey, Hammoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, which was exposed by official letters of school directors and education offices in Taiz districts.

These letters submitted to the Director General of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Leadership Education Office / Abdulwasi Shaddad revealed that the Al-Mikhlafi militia refused to evacuate some schools after they were transferred to their training headquarters during the summer vacation and upon orders from Shaddad.
