On Saturday, the field command of the military and the sit-in called on all military and security personnel, resistance personnel, and the families of the martyrs and the wounded to prepare for the implementation of the escalation program, which it intends to initiate due to the legitimate government's refusal to pay salaries.
The decision to escalate came in response to the legitimate government’s continuing to procrastinate in paying the salaries of the sit-down southern military and security forces, and starving the families of the martyrs and the wounded, according to an official statement issued by the military authority
The statement said, "The field leadership of the military and the sit-in has begun preparing a decisive emergency escalation plan to confront this corrupt, failed, rogue government," noting that the legitimate government refuses to implement the second part of the agreement related to the payment of salaries.
The authority noted that it would issue an official invitation to rally and announce the date of the next escalation step at a later time, with specifying its time and place.
