The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, named the first class that graduated from the "Persian Language" department in name of the former commander of the Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, and this department was developed by the Houthi militia, at the University of Sana'a under its control.

On Sunday, the College of Languages at the University celebrated the graduation of the first batch of students of the Persian Language Department, named "Martyr Qassem Soleimani's Class", which was considered an additional proof of the size of the Houthi dependency on Iran.

University sources said that the majority of students graduating from the Persian Language Department are from the ideological elements of the Houthi militia, and they were chosen for this specialization with the aim of promoting the spread of the Khomeinist project in Yemen.

The Houthi militia had issued a decision to create a department for the Persian language at the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Sana'a University, after a meeting with the president of the university appointed by the Houthis, Fawzi Al-Sfeir, who was in charge of the Iranian embassy at the time.
