Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

After changing the curricula in schools, the Houthi militia closed six study majors at Sanaa University.

According to a decision by the faculty chair, the departments of history and geography, philosophy, Arabic and French, archeology and tourism, libraries and information systems, in the College of Arts and Humanities will be closed.

This comes in exchange for efforts to support the teaching of the Persian language in a decision to turn it into a franchise in the country.

Ahmed Al-Saadi, a professor of philosophy at the University of Sana'a, the College of Arts, considered the decisions to be a prelude to "closing the College of Arts and Human Sciences."

Al-Saadi indicated that the decision will work to keep about (two-thirds) of the faculty members in their homes, as well as close academic departments, and will not reopen in the coming years under the pretext that it does not bring much money from private fees.
