Aden, NewsYemen:

On Friday, military sources reported that the Arab coalition forces were able to thwart the smuggling of weapons and drugs off the eastern coast of Yemen.

The sources said that the naval forces of the Arab coalition seized a boat in the Arabian Sea carrying a large quantity of weapons and drugs off the coast of Mahra Governorate.

The sources added that the cargo was lowered, seized, and the sailors who were on the boat were investigated.

On April 17th, the coalition forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of Iranian weapons off the coast of Mahra, in addition to their foiling on June 24 of the smuggling of a large shipment of Iranian weapons and equipment off the coast of Hadramout.

On February 19, 2020, the US Central Command announced the seizure of an Iranian weapons shipment containing 150 anti-tank missiles and 3 surface-to-air missiles that were on their way to the Houthi militia, in addition to seizing missiles and drones similar to those used in the brutal attack on Aramco facilities in Saudi Arabia.
