Aden, NewsYemen:

A prominent leader in the Southern Transitional Council considered that the terrorist bombing that targeted (Saturday) a convoy of the Arab coalition forces, in Mayfa'a district in Shabwa governorate, southeastern Yemen, comes within an escalation program led by the Brotherhood.

Earlier today, a military convoy comprising Emirati forces of the Arab Coalition in Shabwa governorate was subjected to a suicide bombing attack, after it was intercepted by a booby-trapped motorcycle while it was passing on the highway linking the city of Azzan and the area of Balhaf.

The operation did not result in any losses among the forces, but the bomber was killed, while the warplanes flew overhead after the accident.

Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, said on Twitter: “The terrorist bombing that targeted a convoy of the Arab coalition forces in the Mayfa'a Shabwa district today comes as part of an escalation program led by the Brotherhood’s authority in the governorate several months ago against the Arab coalition, sometimes around Balhaf and another targeting camp Knowledge and that is within the various manifestations of escalation that are not hidden from anyone. "

Al-Awlaqi added, "The return of al-Qaeda leaders and elements to the directorates, villages and valleys of Shabwa governorate again with the satisfaction and conciliation of the Brotherhood’s authority reveals the old / new approach to settling terrorism in the governorate and using it as a card of conflict."

The southern leader concluded his tweet by saying: "Peace, safety and victory for Shabwa and its good people, and there is no consolation for terrorism, its makers, its parties and groups."
