On Sunday, the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council considered the escalation of the Muslim Brotherhood militia in Abyan Governorate, south of Yemen, the last attempts to abort the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.

This came during a regular meeting held in the capital, Aden, headed by Fadl Muhammad Al-Jaadi, Assistant Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council's Presidency.

The commission confirmed that the continued violations and attacks on the sites of the southern forces will not keep the latter in defense sites continuously.

The meeting listened to a report presented by Brigadier General Mohsen Askar, the council’s president’s advisor for military affairs, on “the military developments and the escalating breaches of the terrorist Brotherhood militia backed by al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist elements on the fronts of the Abyan combat axis,” according to the council’s official website.

The Presidency of the Transitional Council praised the steadfastness and steadfastness of the southern forces in thwarting all attempts by terrorist militias supported by Qatar and Turkey, stressing that they are the last attempts to abort the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement.
