Sanaa, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

Sources close to the security leaders of the Houthi militias revealed to NewsYemen, an unprecedented mobilization and measures that the militias began to take in preparation for the anniversary of the December 2 uprising that former President Ali Abdullah Saleh led against the militias from the heart of the capital, Sanaa.

According to the sources, the militia leaders expressed their fear that this memory would be exploited by opponents of their policies to provoke the street against the militias, especially with the increasing popular tension in light of the militias' failure to pay up to half the salary they promised to state employees in their areas of control, as well as the successive crises in the field of oil derivatives and domestic gas, as well as the insane rise in prices, and the increase in the levies carried out by the militias against citizens and merchants alike, not to mention the escalation of corruption, thefts and plundering of public money practiced by the leaders of the Houthi militias without control or supervision.

The sources indicated that the militia leaders are exerting pressure on the leaders of the conference in Sana'a and threatening them that they will resort to take harsh security measures against the leaders and members of the conference in the capital Sana'a and their areas of control in the event that media professionals or activists affiliated with the conference write about the topic of the December Second Intifada or praise it or  Criticism of militia policies, stressing that pressure reached the Sana'a conference leadership to demand that any party activities or activities related to the conference be frozen in conjunction with the anniversary of the second of December, and that any party meeting of the conference will take place during this period, it will be considered a direct promotion to commemorate the memory of the uprising, and thus it will be met with harsh measures.

The sources added that security leaders affiliated with the Houthi militia seek to exploit the memory to carry out arrests of some leaders and members of the conference who criticize the authority and policies of the Houthis or promote any writings or criticism of them, whether in their meetings or on their accounts on social media or WhatsApp groups, noting that the leaders  Al-Houthi told the leaders of the Sana'a conference that these elements are receiving money from abroad for the purpose of causing sedition, and therefore they will be arrested as mercenaries.
