Aden, NewsYemen:

Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik said on Monday that the essence of the Riyadh agreement speaks about ending divisions, stressing that the new government came to end the division and confront corruption.

In an interview with Al-Arabiya TV, Abdulmalik said that the new government is a government of national unity and not a quota system, indicating that its formation is closing an earlier stage and paving the way for a new one.

He pointed out that it was a long labor to reach a political agreement to form the new government, and ending the division will give the government space to solve problems that were previously intractable.

He said that corruption, inflation and poor living were among the results of the division in the country, indicating that the Riyadh Agreement emphasized confronting corruption by unifying the oversight and accountability apparatus.

The prime minister stated, "Saudi Arabia did not exert pressure to impose names in forming the government, adding that Riyadh" supports national unity and the sovereignty of Yemen.
