Aden, NewsYemen:

Medical sources reported that at least 10 people were killed in the two explosions that targeted the plane carrying the new government, on Wednesday, on the grounds of Aden Airport shortly after its arrival.

Sky News Arabia quoted Yemeni medical sources as saying that the explosions killed 10 people and injured dozens.

At noon on Wednesday, two explosions occurred at Aden airport, one targeting the runway, and the other the airport lounge, the moment the plane carrying the president and members of the new government arrived at the airport.  Eyewitnesses told "NewsYemen" that the Houthi militia fired two ballistic missiles from the old Taiz airport, which is under its control.

A senior security source confirmed that the explosions at Aden Airport were caused by a missile attack from outside the governorate.

The explosions left a large crater in the airport runway, and a video clip showed, while the reception hall was also damaged.

Witnesses stated that government members, including Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik, were safely transported to the city's presidential palace.
