Aden, NewsYemen:

The UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, will visit Riyadh and Aden, the international delegation’s office announced Tuesday.

The upcoming visit of the UN official comes days after a Houthi missile attack targeted Aden International Airport, last Wednesday, coinciding with the arrival of the new government headed by Maeen Abdulmalik, to start its work from the city.

The UN envoy’s office said, in a statement Tuesday, that Griffiths will visit Riyadh and Aden within the next few days to meet Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and the new government.

According to the statement, the UN envoy is scheduled to go to Riyadh first to meet Hadi and senior Saudi officials, and then to Aden to hold talks with Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik and members of the new Yemeni government.
