Aden, NewsYemen:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has renewed the condition of stopping the operations of the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, in exchange for any political moves being dealt positively.

The Houthi militia, and behind it Iran, seeks to neutralize the Arab coalition from the war in Yemen, so that it can march towards Marib, relieving the obstacle of air strikes by the coalition aircraft, in addition to the entry of more shipments of smuggled weapons through the ports under their control.

Muhammad Abdul Salam, the Houthi’s spokesman, said that his group is ready to engage positively, provided that what he called “targeting Yemen and lifting the siege on it”, in reference to the Arab coalition operations.

"We are the ones calling for constructive and successful political action after a comprehensive cessation of aggression and an end to the siege," Abdul Salam said in a tweet on Twitter. As he put it.

He added, "Through our past experiences, any political process under fire and siege will not succeed. The aggressor must stop his aggression and blockade, and we are ready to deal positively." According to him.

The Houthi spokesman’s statement came in response to the US State Department’s call to stop their attack on Marib, suspend all military operations, and return to negotiations.

The US State Department stressed that "the Houthis must stop the military progress and refrain from any other destabilizing actions. They must also commit to constructive participation in the United Nations-led political process and US-led diplomatic efforts."

And it considered that "the Houthi attack on Marib is the work of a group that is not committed to peace or ending the war that afflicted the people of Yemen."
