Aden, NewsYemen:

The leader of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, Muhammad al-Bukhaiti, called for the general mobilization and the opening of the recruitment registry, to control Marib and the oil-rich southern regions.

Muhammad al-Bukhaiti, appointed by the militia to the post of governor of Dhamar, said in a speech before a tribal meeting that his group seeks to control Marib and the oil areas, indicating that their militia will not stop in Marib after that and will storm the areas not under its control and regain them.

The Houthi leader's statements came in conjunction with armed movements of the Islah Party militias, the local branch of the Brotherhood, towards the liberated south, with the support of leaders in the hierarchy of legitimacy.

Relatedly, the leader of the Southern Movement, lawyer Yahya Ghaleb Al-Shuaibi, said that the external moves for legitimacy in these circumstances are not related to mobilizing an external stance against the Houthi, but against the south because the Houthi phase externally ended six years.

Al-Shuaibi added in his tweet on Twitter: “Legitimacy seeks to accept an end to the war on condition of a political solution that confirms the legitimacy project, the three references and the unity of Yemen, as he put it.

Al-Shuaibi concluded by saying, "As for Al-Houthi, the legitimacy is convinced that his existence is a fait accompli and he believes in unity."
