The US State Department said it would continue to hold the Houthis accountable for their attempt to attack Saudi Arabia, while it hinted at imposing new sanctions on them.
The US State Department said it would impose new sanctions on the Houthis if necessary.
It added that it will continue efforts to stop Iranian support for the Houthis, according to the "Al Arabiya" channel.
Last week, the United States imposed sanctions on two leaders of the Houthi militia for their role in targeting civilians and neighboring countries and navigation.
It explained at the time, that the sanctions came due to the recent attacks launched by the militias towards Saudi Arabia.
