Bahah and Griffiths discuss opportunities for a solution and an end to the coup in Yemen

The former Prime Minister and Vice President of the Republic, Khaled Bahah, discussed with the UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, the current situation in the country, and the opportunities for a solution, the return of the state and an end to the coup.

Bahah said, on his Facebook page, that he had a meeting in the Jordanian capital Amman with Martin Griffiths, the international envoy to Yemen, to consult about the current situation in our country, the available opportunities and solutions that could contribute to the return of the state and the end of the coup in Yemen.

He added that the Special Envoy for Yemen provided an explanation, during the meeting, during which he reviewed the position of the international community on the repercussions of the events in Yemen, and the steps that he discussed with the various parties, especially about the tense situation in Marib and other governorates, as well as the road map that he is working on.

He said that the data of the current stage, the citizen’s concerns and the suffering of the entire community “are priorities that must be discussed in such a meeting, for the security aspect, the health situation and the national economy all this requires concerted efforts by everyone and concessions from various local parties.”

Bahah indicated that he spoke with Griffiths about the reality of the international and regional political scene and in light of the new circumstances, events and developments that cast a shadow over the Yemeni file in particular.
