The Transitional Council renews its support for the Judges Club’s position rejecting appointment decisions that violate the law

On Tuesday, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, a member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council, met with a number of members of the Southern Judges Club in the capital, Aden.

The meeting discussed the implications of appointing a public prosecutor in contravention of the law and the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, and the positions rejecting this decision, as Dr. Al-Khubaji reiterated the Council's support for the position of the Southern Judges Club in this regard.

Al-Khubaji stressed the importance of consultation and coordination to develop the work of the judiciary, to ensure its independence and the non-interference of any party in its work, as well as the need to provide the necessary protection for the judicial organs, so that judges can perform their duties with full capacity.

He stressed the importance of having strong will among the judges of the Judges Club, and working on laying strong foundations to combat corruption within state institutions, and to eradicate crime in society, to move towards building a state of law and order, and ensuring the future of future generations.

For their part, members of the Southern Judges Club affirmed their stand with all the measures taken by the transitional council, and their readiness to work under its umbrella in order to achieve justice, uphold the rule of law and fight terrorism and corruption, thanking the council’s position in support of the decision to reject the decision to appoint the Attorney General.
