The "Sky News Arabia" website reported, on Sunday, that the State of Somalia has moved towards resuming the evacuation of its citizens from Yemen, after Ethiopian refugees of the Oromo nationality were subjected to a massacre after the Houthi terrorist militia launched incendiary bombs on the refugee detention facility in Sanaa, resulting in the killing of hundreds of detainees. According to unofficial statistics.

And Saturday, the Somali ambassador to Yemen, Abdullah Hashi Shuri, announced that his government will resume a campaign to evacuate thousands of Somalis from Yemen in the middle of this month, after it stopped nearly a year due to Corona.

Shuri stressed that the Somali government is determined to speed up the evacuation, especially after the recent abuses in Sana'a prisons, the most recent of which was the use of bombs against detainees in the Passport Prison.

He pointed out that the aforementioned prison used to house 31 Somalis, as the United Nations took care of removing 16 of them, 9 of whom were with the Somali community, 2 of the wounded, and 4 of the missing, according to "Sky News Arabia."

According to the United Nations, Yemen hosts the second largest number of Somali refugees in the world, with around 250,000 refugees.
