Twelve members of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, including a leader, were killed in battles with the army forces on the Al-Anin front in Jabal Habashi district, west of Taiz.

Military sources said that the army and resistance forces launched a violent attack on the Houthi militia stationed sites at the Al-Anin front, and took control of the strategic Jabal Al-Sarham, Mount Sharaf Al-Anin, Tabab Al-Jubeiriya, Al-Safra, Al-Mashabak, and Al-Aqhaf, west of Taiz.

The forces also managed to recover a number of machine guns and modifiers, as well as dismantle mines and explosive devices planted by the Houthi militia in those liberated areas.

According to the media center for the Taiz axis, the ongoing confrontations resulted in damage to two military personnel, and 12 deaths, including a commander named Abu Hamed, and dozens of wounded.

This comes while the battles are still going on, in Jabal Al-Ahtoub, near the Hajda area, on the main line, west of the governorate.

In a related development, the Houthi militia cut off the road in the village of Wadi Al-Jisr in Maqabneh, and detained hundreds of travelers, including women, children and patients.
