The Southern Transitional Authority: We support the government to Satisfy the people's demands

The statement of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council affirmed "the council's support for the peaceful popular demands", calling on the organizers of the protest events to fully coordinate with all parties to avoid distorting the course of action.


The statement issued by the meeting of its presidency in the capital, Aden, announced that "a number of measures and security measures have been taken to confront any acts of vandalism and chaos in the beloved capital, Aden."

The Commission reaffirmed the stability of the official position of the Southern Transitional Council towards the need to obtain the rights of the southern people, as well as the importance of implementing the Riyadh Agreement in order to reach the final solution that the southerners seek by participating in the comprehensive peace process sponsored by the United Nations, stressing that resolving the southern issue is the key to peace. And stability and security in the Arab region and the Gulf of Aden.

The Presidency of the Council noted the necessity of standing with the government of parity in order to uncover the corrupt and to end the suffering of the people in all its segments by providing salaries, as well as services on an ongoing basis, addressing imbalances in the work of the Central Bank, fighting the corrupt, and holding accountable all those involved in plundering public money.

The Presidency of the Council called on the leadership of the Arab Alliance to identify and address the causes of today's events and strive to find a radical and urgent solution to provide full support for the government, as well as the governor of the capital, Aden, to enable them to perform their duties without obstacles or difficulties.

The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit and attended by Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council, and the Governor of the Capital.
