The toll of the attack, which was carried out by Al-Qaeda militants, on Thursday, in Ahwar Abyan, increased to 12 martyrs.
A journalist and political analyst, Saeed Bakran, wrote in his tweet on the social networking site Twitter: "A painful toll from the Al Qaeda attack on a military post belonging to the Security Belt Forces, Ahwar, to 12 martyrs. Among the martyrs are travelers who happened to pass the point at the moment of the terrorist attack."
The security belt reported that five members of the security belt were killed and injured in Ahwar in an armed attack carried out by the elements of evil and terrorism.
According to the Security Belt Media Center, the attack targeted a security point belonging to the Security Belt located near the city of Ahwar.
He said, "The evil and terrorist elements of Al-Qaeda attacked the point and clashed with the soldiers, and as a result of this clash, five soldiers were killed and others were wounded."
