The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has threatened to execute two journalists who were kidnapped, years ago, in its prisons in Sana'a.

The lawyer for the kidnapped journalists, Abdul Majeed Sabra, confirmed that Abdul Khaleq Omran, Tawfiq Al Mansouri, Akram Al-Walidi, and Al-Harith Hami were threatened by the Houthis to carry out the death sentence if they were not exchanged with them by the legitimate government.

On April 11, 2020, the Houthi militia sentenced the four journalists to death after they were kidnapped in June 2015 from central Sanaa, and they were subjected to physical and psychological torture in prisons.
