Clashes erupted between local gunmen loyal to the Houthi group, known as "the Houthis", on Monday morning, in the Maqbana district, west of Taiz governorate, central Yemen.
A local source told (NewsYemen) that the Houthi militia launched a campaign of arrests against some of the armed militants, accusing them of colluding with the legitimate forces, and the wave of accusations and treason among them increased.
According to the source, violent clashes erupted between the director of security at Maqbana, Abdul Hakim al-Ashlami, and the official of Preventive Security in the district, Abdul Rahman al-Shamiri, on Monday morning, in the center of the Al-Barah market, west of Maqbana.
tAccording to the source, Abdul Hakim Al-Ashmi and three of his companions were killed, and other militants were wounded on both sides, and the situation is still tense between them in the Hajda and Al-Barah areas.
