The commander of the Abyan belt calls on the Brotherhood militia to clear the way to cleanse the central region of "al-Qaeda"

The Commander of the Security Belt and Rapid Intervention in Abyan Governorate, Brigadier General Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, called on the leaders of the forces loyal to the Brotherhood, stationed in Shakra district, to clear the way for the Security Belt forces to clear the central areas and Al-Muhd from Al-Qaeda.
Security sources stated that Brigadier General Al-Sayed asked the leaders of the legitimate forces in Shakra to allow the advance of his forces to clear the central areas of Al-Qaeda members.
She added that the commander of the security belt confirmed the readiness of his forces to cleanse the governorate of terrorist elements that have resumed their activities in the central regions and recently carried out terrorist operations targeting points of the security belt in the districts of Ahwar, Modia and Al-Wadia.
The sources indicated that there is a division among the pro-legitimacy leaders over the security belt commander’s request, between rejection and acceptance, but they have not yet officially responded to it.
The Security Belt Forces in Abyan Governorate continued their readiness to move to secure the areas witnessing a large spread of extremist elements.
