Security sources revealed that the Houthi authorities have accredited higher education degrees to Al-Qaeda members.

"NewsYemen" obtained a forged certificate under a pseudonym for a member of Al-Qaeda: "Ahmed Jamaan Abdullah Al-Baqi", who is alleged to have graduated in "June 2006" from the University of Sheba under the Faculty of Commerce and Economics, while the certificate was recently granted on a forged date as well, according to his confession after his arrest. And his detention in the prisons of one of the liberated governorates, as he is wanted by security for belonging to the terrorist organization.

The Houthi authorities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Higher Education in Sana'a baptized the aforementioned testimony, and testified that it had no precedents, before the security apparatus discovered it in the legitimate areas of control.

The activists are calling for the legitimate government to legalize and set up a strict mechanism for accrediting certificates issued by higher education institutions controlled by the Houthis, especially private universities.

The Institute for Global Recognition in China dropped Yemen from the list of global scientific competition in universities only months ago, after the Houthis entered Sanaa, while the certificates granted to Yemenis issued by institutions controlled by the Houthis cause great confusion among university institutions abroad.
