International organization: Houthi militia uses education to spread Iranian culture in Yemen

Impact SE, the international organization, confirmed that the Houthi militia is using the education system in its areas of control in Yemen to extend their influence.
The organization (concerned with monitoring educational curricula and textbooks around the world, and monitoring peace and tolerance values in them) said that the Houthis "turned education into a tool for spreading Iranian values and culture among Tehran's proxies."
It stated that "Iran is penetrating through the Houthis in primary education centers and institutes of higher education in Yemen, and on the other hand, hundreds of Houthi students are currently studying in Iran."
In a recent study, the organization said that the Iranian curriculum spread among its agents teaches children the importance of "uniting Muslims against Western enemies and accuses Saudi Arabia of committing massacres and carrying out aggression against Yemeni civilians."
It pointed out that there are "educational images in school books for young children that include dead children, and are used to teach students how to oppose the US Zionist hegemony."
And the Houthi educational materials encourage the fight against "Jewish tyranny" and the Saudi-led coalition, according to the organization.
The organization says its analysis of educational materials is based on UNESCO standards for peace and tolerance.
It added, "The Jews also have a share. The Houthi curriculum includes educational materials that accuse the Jews of nefarious conspiracies and present them as an enemy of Islam and the people of Yemen."
The Houthi slogan is taught, which includes "Death to America - Death to Israel - Curse on the Jews - Victory to Islam."
The organization criticized the publication of images of violence, including pictures of dead children, in materials devoted to the early stages of education, as well as the use of weapons in mathematics lessons
