The correspondent of "NewsYemen", in Shabwa governorate, reported that the prices of the needs and requirements of the holy month of Ramadan in food commodities have increased in the governorate under the authority of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Our correspondent said that he noticed the huge and insane increase in prices, in light of the continuing low value of the monthly salary of a government employee, who had not undergone any increase or settlement for more than ten years.
Our correspondent monitored the most important food commodities and all the needs of the holy month of Ramadan, explaining that prices nearly doubled in half, compared to last year.
Among the prices that have been monitored, which are among the essentials for the month of Ramadan, are: rice where the kilo reached to 1300 riyals, kilo of flour 500, a kilo of sugar 500, oil of 20 liters reached to 28,000, a kilo of wheat reach to 600 riyal
According to residents, the bill for basic materials for the blessed month of Ramadan has become close to 100,000 Yemeni riyals at the very least in Shabwa governorate, in light of the economic conditions in the country.
This comes in light of the escalation of the living, humanitarian, economic and service crises that hit Shabwa governorate, amid great government inaction and neglect of the Brotherhood authorities controlling the governorate.
