Aden, NewsYemen:

A Saudi academic has warned that the Islah Party, the Yemeni branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, is exploiting the dwindling legitimacy and influence of the interim president, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, to work independently and recruit fighters and build camps outside the government.

Dr. Ahmed Dhaifallah, a professor of international relations and strategic science, said in a tweet on his Twitter page: "Given the diminishing legitimacy and influence of Hadi, the Islah party has begun to operate independently."

He added, "(Al-Islah) has recruited hundreds of fighters and the military camps in Taiz are outside the government's reach."

The Saudi academic confirmed that Islah is dissatisfied with the Riyadh agreement and believes that the independence of the south is a greater threat than the Houthis, pointing out that the Brotherhood is postponing their "apparent" dispute with the Houthi "in order to devote themselves to the south."
