Taiz, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

The annual battle to liberate Taiz this year by the "Brotherhood" Taiz axis did not complete its first month, and quickly ended with the Houthi retaking of most of the areas that had been declared liberated.

The only achievement of this battle remains the liberation of Al-Kadha Front by the 35th Armored Brigade, the only brigade that is still angered by the Taiz brothers, despite their success in getting rid of its leader, the martyr Adnan Al-Hammadi.

Military sources tell "NewsYemen", the details of the only achievement in the recent battles of Taiz at the hands of the 35th Brigade, which the leadership of the Taiz axis resorted to after failing to make any progress on the eastern front late last February.

This failure forced the Axis leadership to summon the leadership of the 35th Brigade on the first of March to push it towards the liberation of the front, and the front commander was summoned by Saif Faree’s charter, and the liberation plan was agreed upon.

After that, the staff of Major General Colonel Abdul-Malik Al-Ahdal conducted a reconnaissance operation for the front, after which the members of the brigade were summoned, in addition to the personnel of the front commander, Mithaq Seif, who distributed only 40 automatic bullets to each individual.

Sources say that the individuals affiliated with the leader of the front were able, on the 4th of March, to penetrate the line of mines, to reach near Al-Kadha market and then return, and the operation resulted in the death of one of the resistance members.

On Saturday, March 6, the commander of the special battalion of the 35th Brigade, Fathi Al Hammadi, was summoned from the Al-Aqroud Front to participate in the liberation of Al-Kadha by the brigade’s staff.

After that, the liberation plan was drawn up and divided into three axes: the first was led by Fathi Al-Hammadi, the second was Muhammad al-Jaifi, one of the brigade commanders in the brigade, and the third axis was led by the commander of the front, Mithaq Sweid.

The first attempt did not succeed in progress and led to the wounding of a number of the brigade soldiers and the death of one of the resistance fighters from the region, and the same thing was repeated the next day, March 7.

With the advent of March 8, the 35th Brigade forces were able to firepower control of the most important sites of the enemy Houthi militia, including the site of Jabal al-Darb, Tabat al-Shiki, the site of Hope al-Ra'i, and trying to enter the toil market, which tempted the Brotherhood's military leaders to start investing in this progress.

The advisor to the Axis Commander, Brigadier General Abdo Farhan “Salem,” who is the de facto commander of the Brotherhood’s forces in Taiz, arrived for several minutes to take pictures at the front and leave quickly.

The signs of the dawn of Tuesday, March 9th carried with it the real breakthrough, as the brigade forces managed to storm the toil market and control it and a number of doors, including the reservoir site, the strategic Alaqah mountains, the Al-Siddiq school, the Al-Kadah clinic, and seizing a tank and a BTR vehicle.

At a time when the battle bullets were reverberating in the front, the Brotherhood’s saliva was flowing on the spoils. The Brotherhood’s military commander "Salem" and the commander of the 35th Brigade, Abdul Rahman Al-Shamsani - who is close to the Brotherhood - rushed to the front and instructed to deliver the equipment seized by the brigade's forces to the axis.

The Brotherhood’s attempt to demoralize the fighters was unsuccessful. On the next day, March 10, they succeeded in controlling the 500 point and Tariq bin Ziyad school, seizing the 160th mortar, a number of shells, a rocket launcher and a number of missiles.

With all the progress made by the front and the seizure of equipment and weapons from the Houthi militia, the Brotherhood's military leaders rushed to take advantage of this. The military police commander, Brigadier General of the Brotherhood / Muhammad Salem Al-Khawlani, arrived at the front on the mission of "taking a picture."

With the departure of Al-Khawlani, the commander of the Axis, Khaled Fadhel and the commander of the 35th Brigade, Al-Shamsani arrived at the front for the same mission, which is to take pictures at Tariq School and leave quickly.

The sources say that the front command was surprised while preparing for the next attack, when Brotherhood leader "Salem" arrived at the front's operations center and asked the field commanders to quickly hand over the vehicles and artillery seized from the Houthi militia to the Axis command.

The Brotherhood did not stop at attempts to steal the achievements of the 35th Brigade, but rather reached out to impose its military leadership to manage and direct the front.

The sources said that the Brotherhood's military leader, Abdo Hammoud al-Sagheer, who operates the operations of the 17th Brigade, arrived at the front's operations center and drew up plans for the attack, which inflicted losses on the brigade’s forces in its ranks.

And with it, according to the sources, attempts to wrest the front from the hands of the brigade’s forces by forcing the brigade’s members to leave the front, delaying the delivery of ammunition and food, and deploying military police points under the pretext of securing the liberated areas, and in fact, blackmailing the brigade’s members and harassing their movements.

Matters reach a climax by targeting the 35th Brigade with a ballistic missile by the Houthi militia in Tariq Bin Ziyad School, which, according to sources, resulted in the death of 12 members of the battalion led by Fathi Al Hammadi.

The targeting took place two hours after Brotherhood military leaders left the place, headed by "Salem" and the commander of the Axis, and activists affiliated with the Brotherhood published photos of the brigade's presence in the school, which raised strong suspicions, which led to the refusal of the 35th Brigade to continue fighting and advancing.
