Al-Zubaidi's representative: The STC is ready to form a joint negotiating team with the Hadi regime, in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement

The representative of the head of the Southern Transitional Council for Foreign Affairs, Amr Al-Baid, confirmed today that the transitional council is ready to form a joint negotiating team with the Hadi regime, in accordance with the Riyadh Agreement.
This came in his meeting with the international envoy to Yemen, Mr. Martin Griffiths, to convey to him the message of the President of the Council on the peace process.
Al-Bayadh said that the Council supports a comprehensive peace process to find effective solutions to achieve security and stability in the region, and that the responsibility rests with the international community to achieve this.
He pointed out that it is the responsibility of the Council to preserve the national goals of the people of the South, and therefore the task is not limited to participating in negotiations only, but also on the way to reach them.
He added that the tasks of the 50/50 government based on the Riyadh Agreement are limited to providing services and does not represent the Transitional Council politically in the political process, and anything else is considered misleading the people and the international community.
