American optimism about a real chance to end the conflict in Yemen

The United States of America expressed its optimism that there is a real opportunity to resolve the conflict in Yemen, noting that its envoy to Yemen will arrive in the region, on Wednesday, to continue efforts to address the crisis and end the war.
The US envoy to Yemen, Timothy Linder King, said in a high-level meeting in Germany, on Monday, that there is a "real opportunity for a permanent solution to the Yemeni conflict," according to a tweet posted on the official account of the US embassy in Yemen on "Twitter".
Lenderking stressed that the success of the solution in Yemen requires everyone to work together to enable the success of such a solution, expressing his wish to seize this moment.
In a statement, the US State Department stated that Lenderking discussed during his visit to Germany the importance of reaching a lasting solution to the war in Yemen, including the resumption of political talks and the immediate end of the attack in Marib.
The statement stated that the discussions shed light on the steps that the international community can take to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, including additional humanitarian assistance and follow-up on previous pledges.
He indicated that Lenderking will continue his visit to the Gulf for the fourth time since he took office last February, as he will arrive in the region, on Wednesday, to hold meetings with senior government officials, in coordination with the United Nations Special Envoy Griffiths.
According to the statement, the discussions of the US envoy will continue to focus on joint international efforts to promote a peace agreement, and efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.
