Ibb, News, Yemen:

A leader in the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, attacked and insulted a number of inmates of the Central Prison in Ibb Governorate, in the center of the country, in light of widespread violations by the militia in all the prisons it established in the various directorates of the governorate.

Informed sources indicated that the Houthi leader, Abu Nabil Shaddad, beat a number of inmates at the central prison in the city of Ibb, which comes within the framework of the insults directed by the Houthi militia with the aim of gaining money by enslaving and humiliating prisoners.

The sources indicated that the Houthi leader “Shaddad” was not satisfied with beating and assaulting inmates, but rather he raised the rents of rooms in the prison designated for establishing marital relations between prisoners and their wives to fictional sums that go to his personal benefit, alongside other Houthi leaders.

The sources pointed out that the exploitation of prisoners and kidnappers has become a dangerous phenomenon in the areas controlled by the Houthi militia, which has transformed even police departments and security departments into unlawful prisons in which innocent people are imprisoned for more than weeks, while detention for more than 24 hours in departments is not permitted according to the law.

The sources indicated that Houthi supervisors kidnap innocent people and then place them in prisons, with the aim of blackmailing them and covering up criminals and not imprisoning them in exchange for money and other crimes that take place in the militia's prisons, including overcrowding and the lack of health conditions in the prison, especially with the outbreak of the Coronavirus and the spread of scabies in prisons, in addition to bad nutrition and horrific psychological and physical torture.
