Violent battles broke out between the army forces on one side and the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, on the other side, in the Al Malahid front of the Al-Dhaher district in Saada governorate.
Field sources said that the fighting erupted after an attack by the militia in an effort to regain recently lost sites in the district.
The army forces were able to repel the Houthi attack, which targeted the Kais al-Kalah heights, and the confrontations ended with human and material losses among the militia, including damage to a number of military vehicles.
In a related development, the army's artillery targeted military vehicles and equipment of the Houthi militia in the Al-Malahid area, east of Al-Roqi, killing dozens of Houthi militia members.
The sources added that the National Army in the Maran axis targeted the Houthi militia's stationing sites, behind the Al-Roqi area, which led to the killing of all the militia members stationed at the site.
