Sana'a, NewsYemen, Special Report:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, was not satisfied with the price dose for raising the prices of domestic gas with the approach of Ramadan, but rather they turned the distribution of household gas into a means of looting and theft on the one hand, and the practice of insults against people on the other hand.

In this context, the Yemeni Gas Company, which is under the control of the Houthi militia, announced, in the Amanat Al-Asimah, that it has stopped distributing bottled gas cylinders to citizens through Al-Harat Aqal until further notice, without providing any explanations or justifications for this decision, and is content to announce the sale of domestic gas cylinders to citizens through filling stations.

Sources in the Gas Company in Sana'a told NewsYemen: The decision aims to exploit and plunder the money of citizens in militia-controlled areas by forcing them to buy gas cylinders sold through filling stations at an amount of (6640) riyals and an increase of (1940) riyals over their price, through the Iqal Al-Harat, which was The other is overpriced and overpriced.

The militias had approved a new price dose for the prices of domestic gas cylinders that have been distributed through Iqal Al Harat since the beginning of last March, reaching (4,700) riyals per cylinder filling (20) liters, after they were sold for (3,900) riyals, despite the fact that Safer Company is in Marib. At the time, it confirmed that it supplied gas to Sanaa and the militia-controlled areas at a price of (2,300) riyals per cylinder, and that its price after its delivery to the capital, Sana'a and the rest of the governorates, does not exceed (3100 to 3,500) riyals per cylinder, as a maximum.

Crisis followed by dose ... Houthi policy

The last two weeks of Shaaban witnessed a severe gas crisis in the capital, Sanaa, and militia-controlled areas, where the price of a household gas cylinder on the black market reached 15,000 riyals, before the militia-controlled gas company announced the opening of gas stations for citizens to fill their cylinders from the first day of Ramadan at the price New (6640) riyals.

During a tour of a number of gas filling stations in the capital city during the first three days of the month of Ramadan, the citizens with whom "NewsYemen" spoke unanimously agreed that the Houthi militia had consistently pursued a policy of creating crises regarding domestic gas and oil derivatives in preparation for passing a new price dose.

Abu Muhammad al-Nahmi said: The Houthis have become skilled at stealing people in this way, which resort to fabricating crises of essential and basic commodities and materials before they put them on the market and raise their prices.

Adding to NewsYemen: Before Ramadan, there was a gas crisis without any introduction, and now they download gas to the stations and sell it to people at a price of (6640) riyals, that is, at a black market price, after people have accepted the idea of its availability at any price, even if it is doubled.

In conclusion: We see the matter going on with the issue of oil derivatives (gasoline and diesel), as the Houthi militias continue to claim that there is a crisis as a result of the blockade, while allowing it to be available and sold on the black market in the center of the capital Sanaa and its areas of control at prices ranging between (14 thousand and 20 thousand) for a cylinder capacity of (20 ) Liters, and prices ranging between (13 thousand and 25 thousand) for a diesel cylinder of (20) liters, which will be exploited by the militias later to approve a price dose for gasoline and diesel when it is supplied in the market and at double prices, with allegations of facing the losses resulting from the delay in the entry of ships to the port of Hodeidah. By the alliance.

Looting of money, security restrictions and deliberate insults to the people

According to the announcement by the militia-controlled gas company, the process of providing domestic gas to citizens will take place through the stations, as some stations were designated to fill gas cylinders for citizens, while others were allocated for filling gas for vehicles during the past three days of Ramadan, before the company announced the suspension of filling gas for vehicles and allocating Stations for filling household cylinders, according to a new gas distribution system that adopts a division of the days of the week for filling between the allocation of specific days for filling household cylinders and the rest of the days for vehicle filling.

Citizen Saleh Ahmed Ali (50) years old commented to NewsYemen on the new militia policy by saying: What is happening is a process of looting and theft of the money of people who are forced to fill in household gas cylinders in the month of Ramadan at any cost due to the increase in consumption during the holy month, as the militias deliberately stopped the process of distributing it through the hands And selling it through the stations for an increase of about two thousand riyals, which represents an organized plundering of the money of citizens who are saving these hard-won sums in light of the salary cut.

And he adds: On the other hand, the Houthi militia’s free decision to fill in one cylinder for every citizen with his ID card and record his name and data based on his identity reflects an intelligence policy aimed at conducting a security inventory of citizens in a new way under the justification of not allowing the citizen to fill more than one cylinder, indicating that many people They are forced to use the cards of their neighbors and friends to fill more than one cylinder, but what raises questions is the aim of the insistence on recording the data and submitting it to the gas company that is run by the militias from each station separately.

On the other hand, Umm Muhammad, who was among to fill a gas cylinder in one of the capital's stations, said to Newzimen: My son, these Houthis insult people, by God, is this not an insult to us and to all the people when we cannot get a gas cylinder except with a runway in the station from the morning while we are fasting .

Adding: Although we are women, we are fleeing, and we pay the value of gas at a high price, the Houthis have returned to attack us and Nkhit through the delegates, who are late in opening the stations and when they open them, they start to tire out for their owners, their acquaintances, and those who pay them money, and the fugitives have to wait until the representatives of the Houthi paralyze their rights from the people, and sometimes we fend And we have arrived near the station, and suddenly they shut off and say to you, 'Complete the gas'.

She concluded: By God, the sight of the women in the tracks in the gas stations, as well as the women who are two flocking to the petroleum, is a disgraceful view of the women and men who are silent about everything that the Houthi does for us, and may God have mercy on the days of time when the government raised a hundred riyals in the bear and the Resurrection and took people out to demonstrate and turn the world on it, but Today, they have lost their bearings on their backs while they are silent and afraid, and the Houthi will not be indifferent.

It is noteworthy that the domestic gas filling stations announced by the Houthi-controlled Gas Company are witnessing unprecedented congestion due to the distribution policy, which depends on stopping the filling of gas for vehicles on some days and stopping the filling of gas for citizens on some days, as vehicle owners are forced to trail as citizens and fill cylinders that they use in The operation of their vehicles, which affects the share of citizens whose numbers increase day by day, making the queues rushing in front of the stations large, as well as witnessing daily clashes and quarrels due to the practices of some Houthi representatives and some station owners.
