Brigadier General Tariq Saleh discusses with the Russian ambassador the developments of Yemen

 The Leader of the National Resistance, Head of the Political Bureau, Brigadier General Tariq Muhammad Abdullah Saleh, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Yemen, Vladimir Didushkin, during which various issues and developments in the Yemeni arena were discussed.

The meeting, which was held via a closed electronic circuit, reviewed a number of political issues of common interest.

During the meeting, Brigadier General Tariq Salih praised the roles of the Russian Federation, the friend in support of Yemen and the Yemenis in various stages and circumstances, and the strong friendship at the official and personal levels that linked the late President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He valued Russia's position after withdrawing its mission in the capital, Sanaa, in protest against the murder of the martyr leader by the Houthi militia.

During the meeting, he expressed his hope that Russia would play a role in lifting the unjust international sanctions imposed on the martyr leader Ali Abdullah Saleh and Ambassador Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, stressing that "these sanctions are not justified."

In turn, the Russian ambassador reiterated his country's stand by Yemen's side in the ordeal of the war it is in, recalling the efforts of the Russian Federation to prevent the outbreak of the war from its beginning, including its opposition to international sanctions within the Security Council, noting that Moscow is with the lifting of sanctions.
