Marib, NewsYemen:

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs of the United Nations, in Yemen, said, on Tuesday, that at least 14 civilians were killed due to the escalation of hostilities in the northeastern governorate of Ma'rib, during the first half of this April.

In a report, the UN office said that "with the continuation of hostilities, the lives of civilians are still at risk, as the Civil Impact Monitoring Project (CIMP) reported at least 14 casualties in the first half of this April."

He explained that "the continuation of intense fighting across frontline areas in the Ma'rib governorate, with the outbreak of hostilities in particular in the Sarwah district, has led to large waves of displacement since the escalation began in early February."

He pointed out that the ongoing fighting in the affected areas "prevents the accurate figures from verifying the total losses among civilians and the displaced."
