Sana'a, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

For the tenth day in a row, the Houthi leader, Ahmed Yahya Al-Shawash, a resident of the village of Hiziaz, Sanhan District, is in detention without knowing his fate.

Sources close to Ahmed Al-Shawash, who preferred not to be named, confirmed to "NewsYemen" that the militia arrested Al-Shawash more than ten days ago, without revealing his fate to this day.

The sources added that Ahmed is one of the major collaborators and supporters of the militia and one of the first to set up tents on the southern side of the capital to support it in September 2014, and he has a major role in paving the way for them before taking control of Sana'a.

The source explained that they had to set up a tent in "Taiz Street" south of the capital for the third day in a row, to demand his release and knowledge of his fate after he was arrested and false charges were brought against him.

Regarding the motives behind his arrest, the source confirmed that Al-Shawash refused to continue working with Iran's arm after the recent series of appointments, which were confined to limited families, which led to the marginalization of others, and he preferred to retain at his home, but that did not suit the Houthis, which led them to arrest him.

Al-Shawash was taken to the Hiziaz police station, without any legal instructions, before he was kidnapped from the station to an unknown destination.

This incident comes amid widespread dissatisfaction on the part of the people of Hiziaz, as Shawash is one of the destinations that represent their region.

One of the protesters, who preferred not to be named, stated that the arrest of Al-Shawash comes within the framework of the Houthi policy of exclusion and oppression of all those who stood with them, as is the case with many of those who were killed in a hideous manner in Amran Governorate and elsewhere.
