Sana'a, NewsYemen:

In contrast to preventive social distancing measures from the emerging covid-19 virus, according to the recommendations and guidelines of the World Health Organization to prevent the global pandemic, the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - continues to deprive the lives of citizens in Sanaa and its neighboring governorates despite the occurrence of Coronavirus deaths among the leaders of the group.

The cemeteries of the capital, Sana'a, receive dozens of corpses daily for deaths due to the Coronavirus, while the Houthi militia continues to hold Ramadan evenings for its beneficiaries, officials of local councils, executive offices in the governorates and directorates, and their supervisors in the directorates, neighborhoods and social figures loyal to the group, in closed councils without obligation to wear masks and virtual social distancing to prevent Covid-19.

In these ceremonies, speeches were delivered by leaders in the ranks of the group, which included expressions that incite violence and hatred, perpetuate societal division and stir up sectarian and sectarian tendencies, and the lectures of the group’s leader, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, are broadcast to the participants in these ceremonies.

Since the beginning of its second wave, the Coronavirus has killed dozens of doctors, academics and university professors in Sana'a, including the historian Yusef Muhammad Abdullah, the prominent doctor Khaled Nashwan, and the former Minister of Finance Saif Al-Asali, and funeral prayers are held for the deaths in most mosques in Sana’a neighborhoods, remarkably during the past few days and the social networking pages of activists in Sanaa have become an open mourning square to offer condolences to the victims of the Coronavirus, and they announce, in turn, news of the deaths of their relatives or neighbors in various residential neighborhoods.

Earlier, the Houthi militia refused to grant international organizations work permits to implement a project to raise awareness of the dangers of the Coronavirus (Covid 19), precautionary measures to prevent it, and ways to deal with it in the event of infection.

The Houthi militia deals with the Corona virus with disregard and beliefs that tend to myth and contradict the results of scientific research and the instructions of the World Health Organization, and conceal the numbers of victims and the extent of the spread of the epidemic, and it was satisfied with obliging hospitals and official and private medical centers to prevent citizens and employees from entering these facilities without wearing masks.
