Marib, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

On Monday, the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, launched violent attacks on government forces' positions on more than one battlefront in the Marib governorate, according to military sources.

While the Ministry of Defense announced that its forces had repelled Houthi attacks in the Serwah district, military sources told "NewsYemen" that the Houthi militia attacked the Serwah, Al-Balaq and Al-Kassara fronts in western Marib, in conjunction with an attack on the Al-Jadafir front between the Marib and Al-Jawf governorates.

The source pointed out that the Houthi militia launched a large-scale attack on the "Balkan" front, and was able to advance again to locations close to the red sort.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense said that more than thirty members of the Houthi militia were killed in confrontations with the army and the tribes on the Serwah front, west of Marib.

The ministry confirmed the militia’s failure to make any progress, pointing out that the attack launched by the Houthis, at dawn today along the sites of the Serwah front, continued until noon.

According to the sources, this attack was the most violent of its kind launched by the militia at the Serwah front since the beginning of the month of Ramadan, during which it suffered heavy losses of lives and equipment.

They pointed out that the army artillery targeted other Houthi groups that were trying to support their attacking elements, and this bombing resulted in deaths and injuries among the militia.
