The port of Aden receives the first batches of imported fuel from Saudi Arabia

On Saturday, the first batch of oil derivatives purchased from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, intended to operate power plants in Yemen, arrived at the oil port in Aden.

The batch arrived on board a ship carrying 54 thousand tons of oil derivatives, imported at the local market price in the Kingdom.

Earlier, the Yemeni government signed a contract with the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to purchase 909,591 metric tons of diesel and 351,304 metric tons of diesel fuel;  US $ 422 million.

The oil derivatives batch was received by Aden Governor Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, Minister of Electricity and Energy Dr. Anwar Kalashat, and the commander of the coalition forces in Aden, Brigadier General Nayef Al-Otaibi.
