The leader of the National Resistance, head of its Political Bureau, Brigadier Tariq Saleh, and his accompanying delegation held a dialogue session with the team of the “Orientalist Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences”, one of the trend-making circles in the Russian Foreign Ministry, and its director, the Russian thinker Vitaly Naumkin.
The Media Center of the National Resistance said that the meeting reviewed the “political and social conditions in Yemen,” and discussed “the backgrounds of the ongoing conflict, the motives for its continuation, in addition to the possible scenarios for dealing with the existing situation,” especially the tragedies caused by “Iranian interventions in Yemeni affairs” due to “attempts to Iran is turning Yemeni lands into an arena for settling its regional and international accounts.”
After the meeting, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh congratulated, in a tweet, "Russian Orientalist Vitaly Naumkin", describing him as a "friend", saying: "I was pleased to hold an important and lengthy meeting with the great Russian orientalist Vitaly Naumkin, director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, one day before Honored with the Primakov International Prize. Congratulations to friend Naumkin."
Naumkin is a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Scientific Council of the Russian National Security Council, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Council in the Russian Ministry of Justice for the study of media materials with Islamic content.
