Taiz University Council sets three demands for resuming studies

 The Presidency Council of Taiz University confirmed the suspension of studies in various faculties until three demands are implemented, the first of which is to bring a leader in the Brotherhood militia to trial.

The University Council, in a press conference, set three demands for the resumption of studies in the university’s faculties: The first, the trial of Colonel Abdulhakim Al-Shuja’a, over the attack and assault on the Vice President of the University, Dr. Riad Al-Oqab.

 The Council of Taiz University also called on the security services to arrest those accused of attempting to assassinate the president of the university, Muhammad al-Shuaibi, and the killing of his escort, Muwaffaq al-Shamiri, two years ago in the Wadi al-Qadi area.

The Council of Taiz University renewed the demand of the concerned government agencies to pressure the leadership of the Fifth Brigade, Presidential Protection, to hand over the building of the Faculty of Medicine to the presidency of the university and leave the university campus.
