After disappearing for months, the prominent Brotherhood leader, Hammoud Saeed Al-Mikhlafi, appeared with a brief video speech circulated by the group's activists, delivered at an event held by the Prosthetics Center that he runs in the Sultanate of Oman.

Al-Mikhlafi, in his speech, which appeared to be subject to a montage, deletion and amputation of parts of it, did not address the accusations raised by an official question submitted by a parliamentarian about the existence of camps in Taiz financed by Qatar and supervised by the man.

The man also did not address the movement in his governorate of Taiz - recently - against corruption and tampering. His speech focused on praising the late and current Sultan of Oman, and praising the services his center renders to the wounded in the governorate.

Al-Mikhlafi said that what he is doing towards the wounded is his duty "in light of the imprisonment of legitimacy there in Riyadh," reiterating the accusations made by the Brotherhood against the coalition and its countries for more than 3 years, that they prevent President Hadi from returning to Aden.

Accusations began against the UAE, and with its withdrawal from Aden, it moved towards Saudi Arabia, and the group continues to repeat it continuously through its leaders, activists and media machine, and it has become more like a sacred text that cannot be touched or denied, and questioning its validity is considered a “rejection” and a departure from patriotism and employment for the Emirates or Saudi Arabia.

The matter did not stop at accusing the coalition of preventing Hadi's return to Aden. Rather, Brotherhood voices appeared accusing the coalition or Saudi Arabia in particular of placing President Hadi and his crew under house arrest or "imprisonment", according to Al-Mikhlafi.

And with each time Hadi leaves Saudi Arabia, the last of which was last September when he went to Kuwait to offer his condolences on the death of its emir, Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah, the lie of “house arrest” collapses, and the group and its machine return to repeating the previous narrative that the man is prohibited from returning to Aden.

The crisis of the government’s departure from Aden in late March came to reveal the truth of this story. While the Transitional Council shows strong insistence on its return to perform its work and to stop the deterioration of services and the economy in the liberated areas, the Brotherhood’s position was completely different.

Since the government left Aden, the group has waged a fierce campaign to prevent its return. Rather, it exposed - indirectly - its position behind this through its control of President Hadi's office through the Brotherhood's Abdullah Al-Alimi, the director of the office.

Earlier this week, the group's media published news reports attributed to sources in the presidential office that it had rejected a request made by Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik to return some ministers to Aden to carry out their work.

And the Brotherhood’s media quoted sources in the “Yemeni Presidency” that it rejected Abdul-Malik’s request, stipulating that the transitional implement the military provisions of the Riyadh Agreement, before the return of any minister.

The Brotherhood's media acknowledged that this ban comes as a pressure card on the Southern Transitional Council to incite the street against it, as it said that certain directives for the return of ministers "come to relieve the popular pressure that the transitional has been subjected to recently."

The group confirmed this position through its media and activists’ attack against the Saudi ambassador, Muhammad Al Jaber, who stated, last Saturday, that the Kingdom and the coalition are constantly working with the two parties to the Riyadh Agreement to complete its implementation, including “accelerating the return of the Yemeni government to Aden and enabling it to perform its duties, to alleviate the suffering of the people.” Citizen and complete the implementation of all aspects of the agreement.

The Saudi ambassador's call clearly angered the group, as the newspaper "Akhbar Al-Youm" affiliated with General Ali Mohsen Al-Ahmar attacked this call, accusing the ambassador of ignoring the "transitional council's provocations, their seizure of state institutions and the creation of new armed militias."

The newspaper's editor-in-chief, Saif Al-Hadiri, reinforced this attack against the Saudi call for the return of the government to Aden, and considered it in a tweet to him as a "laughable theatrical", and said that "legitimacy is slaughtered by the hands of the shepherds", accusing Saudi Arabia of working against legitimacy.

Media sources have recently reported that a number of ministers have actually returned to Aden, in preparation for the expected return of the prime minister, while a number of ministers still reject this, led by the ministers of Islah (the political arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen) and those affiliated with him.

According to the sources, the most prominent opponents of the return are Youth and Sports Minister Naif al-Bakri, and Health Minister Qassem Buhaibah, who are from the government's Islah share, in addition to Interior Minister Major General Ibrahim Haidan, who is considered a party loyalist.

The group’s stances on the return of the government to Aden undermine its allegations that it has been hesitating for years about the coalition’s prevention of Hadi’s return to Aden, and confirms that it is the one behind this to keep the legitimacy decision under its hand through the Brotherhood’s lobby surrounding the president, ensuring that he remains isolated from others in a situation similar to Brotherhood house arrest.
