Taiz, NewsYemen:

A group of emerging plastic artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts, third level, at Taiz University were surprised that their paintings had been distorted.

Artist Radfan al-Muhammadi, who is the owner of an institute for teaching painting, said about the college incident, "Students left their paintings at the university, as usual for any students, and returned the next day to complete them and found their paintings blurred."

He added: Taiz, the cultural capital of Yemen, is greedily drifting towards fraud, wondering: Who will stop this absurdity?

As for the artist Talal Al-Najjar, he condemned this behavior, saying: This work and other works were distorted by obliterating the face and hands in black in the Department of Arts at the Faculty of Arts, Taiz University, and this is a precedent that has never occurred in Yemen.

this behavior, which he described as uncivilized and hateful of art and beauty at a time when we desperately need them.

The student Lina Al-Sama'i, third year of the Faculty of Arts, had drawn a painting of girls, and before completing it the next day, she was surprised that someone had blurred the faces and hands with black ink, in a clear indication of an incorrect religious vision.

Since the popular crowd of Muslim Brotherhood took control of Taiz, Taiz has suffered from manifestations of chaos, killing, confiscation of the rights of others, looting of homes and even the recent attack on the university campus by hitting the president of Taiz University and destroying his private car by a savior leader affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
