Nasserite writer and political activist Abdullah Farhan survived an assassination attempt by gunmen riding motorcycles, this Thursday noon, west of the city of Taiz in central Yemen.

A local source told (Newsyemen) that the Nasserite activist writer Abdullah Farhan survived an assassination attempt by four gunmen, by shooting at his car while he was returning to his home, this Thursday noon, in the Al-Dahi neighborhood in the Habeel Salman area, west of the city of Taiz.

According to the source, activist Abdullah Farhan was not hurt, while his car's tires and bottles were destroyed, and the gunmen fled towards an unknown destination.

The failed assassination attempt came after the writer Abdullah Farhan received a direct threat from the director of the Al-Hasab Police Department, Fouad Fadel, brother of the commander of the Taiz military axis, Major General Khaled Fadel.

It is noteworthy that Abdullah Farhan is a Nasserist writer and political activist, known for his stances against the corruption and crimes of the armed gangs affiliated with the terrorist organization of the Brotherhood that control the city of Taiz.
