The Yemen Brotherhood Militia, the Islah Party, stormed the Abadan area in Shabwa governorate, at dawn on Saturday, and was stationed at the location of the event called for by the Transitional Council and to be held today.
And those close to the Transitional Council in Shabwa governorate announced that the venue of the event would be changed to Saqqam, the birthplace of the council's president, Ali Ahmed al-Jabwani.
For his part, spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, Ali Al-Kathiri, said that the Muslim Brotherhood militias occupying Shabwa governorate, on Friday evening, laid siege to and targeted the Abadan and Jabba areas in the Nisab district with barbaric bombardment with tanks and artillery shells.
Al-Kathiri indicated that this bombing was aimed at thwarting the peaceful activity called by the local leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in the governorate on Saturday, to peacefully express the will and aspirations of the heroic people of Shabwa Governorate, and to support the completion of the implementation of the provisions of the Riyadh Agreement.
Al Kathiri held what he described as terrorist militias in Shabwa governorate fully responsible for this blatant and brutal
aggression and what could result from it. Those militias in their attempts to suppress the peaceful efficacy of the governorate.
